How do I install Sub Ninja?

  • Download and run the installer
  • Unlock the plugin upon first use with the license code you’ve received in your email

I did not receive my unlock code, where is it?

After purchasing Sub Ninja you should receive 2 emails. One from Paddle with an invoice, and one from dsp@thehim.com which contains your unlock code. Please check your spam folder in case it didn’t land in your inbox.

If after 10 minutes you’ve still not received an email, please contact us at dsp@thehim.com.

What is your refund policy?

Is the trial fully functional?

Yes!

Does Sub Ninja work in my DAW?

Probably! Sub Ninja has been tested on: FL Studio, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Bitwig, Reaper, Studio One, Waveform Pro.
Is your DAW not in that list? Let me know if it works so I can add it!

Please note that in Logic Pro and Pro Tools, you can only use 1 sidechain input. This is a limitation of the DAW.

On how many systems can I install Sub Ninja with my license?

Your license is valid for 1 user. However, you can install and use Sub Ninja on 2 machines simultaneously.

How do I uninstall Sub Ninja?

Sub Ninja can be uninstalled by simply removing the plugin files and the Sub Ninja folder from your machine. There are no other files or dependencies.

macOS

  • AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Sub Ninja.component
  • VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/The Him DSP/Sub Ninja.vst3
  • AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Sub Ninja.aaxplugin
  • Resources folder: /Users/Shared/The Him DSP/Sub Ninja

Windows

  • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\The Him DSP\Sub Ninja.vst3
  • AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Sub Ninja.aaxplugin

Manage your license (/max unlocks reached?)

You have 2 unlocks per license, allowing you to use Sub Ninja on 2 devices simultaneously. With the latest version (download it here), you can remove your license and free up a slot from the top-right menu: Main Menu → Remove License.

Troubleshooting

If you’re having issues installing Sub Ninja, I’m sorry something went wrong — installation should be as smooth as possible. Please check the following:

  • Make sure you’re using the latest version of Sub Ninja (download it here).
  • After running the installer, confirm that the plugin files and resource folder are in the correct locations:

macOS

  • AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Sub Ninja.component
  • VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/The Him DSP/Sub Ninja.vst3
  • AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Sub Ninja.aaxplugin
  • Resources folder: /Users/Shared/The Him DSP/Sub Ninja

Windows

  • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\The Him DSP\Sub Ninja.vst3
  • AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Sub Ninja.aaxplugin

  • Restart your DAW and rescan your plugins.
